The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groenberg gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Groenberg takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Groenberg takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Groenberg is rocked!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Groenberg is defended easily by Azteca.
Groenberg is still on wobbly legs! Can Azteca finish him?
Groenberg shoots in but no luck this time.
Mixtli Azteca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Groenberg.
Azteca stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Azteca wants it to stay on the feet.
Groenberg seems to have recovered his senses.
Donk. Azteca catches Groenberg right on the button with a cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Azteca dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Groenberg. That did some damage!

Groenberg can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Azteca controls the pace.
Azteca postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Azteca knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Groenberg on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mixtli Azteca just wasn't active enough.
Groenberg shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Azteca as he jumps to the side.
Azteca ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Groenberg shoots in but no luck this time.
Azteca fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Azteca scores with a crisp jab that stopped Groenberg in his tracks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Groenberg looks to clinch
and Azteca connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Groenberg walks straight into a right hand from Azteca - that's dropped him! Azteca jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Groenberg from any more punishment! Groenberg complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
