The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Aguri.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Facestabber wants to pass the guard but Aguri is keeping the position.

Aguri wants to stand and escape but Facestabber is having none of it.
Facestabber stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aguri swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Aguri pushes Facestabber off and scrambles back to his feet.

Facestabber feints and as Aguri raises his hands in defense, Facestabber changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Facestabber postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Aguri is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Facestabber, into his guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Facestabber throws a hook to the side of Aguri's head but Aguri sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Aguri will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Facestabber drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Aguri manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Facestabber has Aguri in his guard.

Facestabber drops back, looking for a kneebar! Aguri looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Aguri looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Aguri!
Aguri will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ethan Aguri will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Facestabber shoots in looking for a takedown but Aguri manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Facestabber's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Facestabber isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Aguri stacks Facestabber on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Aguri!
