PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Temitope Alabi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Hustlin. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alabi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson.
Alabi moves out of range as Jackson throws a body kick.
Jackson shoots in but no luck this time.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alabi is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Jackson jumps into side control!
Jackson advances to mount.
Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Alabi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Alabi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Alabi is looking to improve his position but Jackson isn't that keen on the idea.
Jackson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Alabi can't escape the position.
Alabi tries to hold on but Jackson pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson avoids the attempt from Alabi to control.
