Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Lebedev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lebedev's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Yuri Favourite!. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lebedev pinned against the cage. Lebedev gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jackson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lebedev lands a nice elbow.

It looks like John Jackson has been cut.

Jackson pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Lebedev wants to get up but he can't break Jackson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jackson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lebedev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lebedev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Jackson wasn't active enough on the ground.
Lebedev tries to clinch up.

Jackson clinches up with Lebedev and pushes him back against the cage.
Lebedev throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Lebedev prevents Jackson from breaking the clinch.
Jackson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lebedev comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
A nice right hand lands inside from Lebedev.
Jackson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lebedev smiles and moves away.
Yuri Lebedev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Jackson.

Lebedev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jackson.
Lebedev throws a nice outside leg kick.

Jackson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Lebedev has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jackson is proving hard to escape from.
Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

We're going to have a standup here because Yuri Lebedev wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Lebedev stuffs the takedown attempt from Jackson. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.
Yuri Lebedev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lebedev showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jackson.
Jackson thows a body shot but no joy.
Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lebedev avoids it really well and circles away.
Lebedev shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jackson eats them both and turns towards Lebedev to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

That has opened up John Jackson's cut even more.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jackson looks for a takedown but Lebedev sprawls well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Yuri Lebedev will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Lebedev rushes Jackson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jackson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lebedev digs a right hand into Jackson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Jackson's gas tank.
Jackson is looking to control Lebedev's arms but Lebedev gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jackson has his back to the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lebedev misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jackson.
Jackson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Come on Lebedev - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Lebedev lands an elbow that stopped Jackson in his tracks for a moment.
Jackson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lebedev lands a nice uppercut.

John Jackson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Lebedev gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at John Jackson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
