Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Maurer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Maurer has closed the distance and engaged Howard in a clinch.

Howard lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Maurer backwards.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Howard wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Maurer is trying desperately to land a takedown but Howard is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Maurer.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maurer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Howard sprawls well. Howard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Maurer gets slowly back to his feet.

Howard circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Maurer to the canvas! Maurer doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Howard keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
