The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macmillan clinches with his opponent.

Macmillan lands a takedown into guard.
Macmillan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wright is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wright is looking to stand up but Macmillan isn't so interested in that idea.

Macmillan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Macmillan takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Wright lands with a nice combination. Macmillan backs away looking to recover.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wright darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
No luck for Macmillan with that takedown attempt.

Macmillan clinches up with Wright and pushes him back against the cage.

Macmillan manages to break the clinch.
Wright misses with a wild combination.

Wright gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Macmillan to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Macmillan looking to pass the guard.
Macmillan cracks Wright with a solid left hand.

Macmillan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wright , up you get!
Wright throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Macmillan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wright 's guard.
Wright controls Macmillan momentarily but Macmillan frees himself.
Wright might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Macmillan kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Macmillan stands up from guard. Let's bang!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Macmillan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Macmillan shoots in and bounces Wright off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Macmillan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Macmillan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Macmillan postures up.
Macmillan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Wright is looking to reverse the position.

Macmillan has hold of Wright 's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wright seems comfortable defending it but Macmillan has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wright is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wright is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Macmillan couldn't care less - he's delighted!
