The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skorzewski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rudy.
Donovan Rudy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rudy lands a two punch combo.
Skorzewski throws a low kick but Rudy moves out of range easily.
A combination from Rudy does no damage.
Rudy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rudy misses with a series of wild punches.
Skorzewski throws a body punch but Rudy moves out of range.
Rudy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Skorzewski sees it coming and avoids it easily.

It looks like Donovan Rudy has been cut.
Rudy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Skorzewski throws out the jab.

Skorzewski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rudy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rudy can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Skorzewski is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rudy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
