The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amplified lands with a thumping leg kick.
Tavares scores with a decent looking hook.
Amplified fails with a takedown attempt.
Amplified cracks Tavares with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Amplified shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tavares as he jumps to the side.
Amplified slips a jab and a cross from Tavares.
Amplified tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tavares swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tavares ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Amplified moves away.
Tavares misses with a double jab.
Amplified misses with a straight right.
Amplified throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Amplified misses with the combination.
Tavares lands with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Left hook, right uppercut from Tavares.
Amplified shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Amplified. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Amplified tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tavares paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tavares lands a body shot.
Amplified is breathing heavily.
Amplified shoots in for a takedown but Tavares shows good takedown defense.
Amplified throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ricky Tavares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Amplified is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tavares sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Tavares has cracked Amplified with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Tavares lands another huge swinging hook and Amplified tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Amplified, before Tavares can land any more shots!
