Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Crotatni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Junior Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crotatni misses with a double jab.
Horrible takedown by Crotatni or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
It looks like Silva is going to stand back up.

Crotatni actively working from the bottom here.
Silva looks to land a strike but Crotatni avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva wanted to stand there but Crotatni had control of the position.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crotatni. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva stands and throws Crotatni's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Silva leaves Crotatni with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Silva wants to clinch up but Crotatni keeps it at a distance.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Crotatni's guard.

Silva gets to his feet. Crotatni looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Crotatni throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Crotatni sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Silva seems to be working for a kimura but Crotatni defends the submission attempt.

Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Silva wants to stand and escape but instead Crotatni has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Crotatni could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Crotatni wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Crotatni. Crotatni gets slowly back to his feet.

Crotatni is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Silva has his hands clasped together but Crotatni extends an breaks Silva's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Crotatni.
