The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egill throws a looping overhand right but Cosme ducks down to avoid it.
Egill delivers a nice body kick.
Cosme fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Egill uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cosme.
Egill moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Egill lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Cosme looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cosme throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Egill sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Egill stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Egill wants it to stay on the feet.
Cosme avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Egill misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cosme shoots in and drives through. Egill sprawls well.

Cosme shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Egill but Egill pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cosme shoots in looking for a takedown but Egill manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cosme's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Egill lands a lovely overhand right.
Egill throws a sloppy head kick and Cosme moves out of range easily.
Nick Egill is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Egill lands with a hook. Cosme tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Egill! Cosme is out on his feet! Egill rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Cosme is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Cosme is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
