Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pierre St Ives (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St Ives's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, In a Big Country by Big Country. McCoy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kill Everyone Now. Pierre St Ives could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jay McCoy's chin.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Ives stalks McCoy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McCoy's face. McCoy staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Jay McCoy has been cut.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

McCoy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but St Ives moves away.
Sloppy strikes from McCoy. Those never looked like landing.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

McCoy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. St Ives tries to avoid it but McCoy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag St Ives to the ground. St Ives escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McCoy closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

St Ives lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McCoy circles away quickly and effectively.
McCoy takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now McCoy is on top in guard.

McCoy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

St Ives wants to slow McCoy down by chopping away at his legs.
McCoy clobbers St Ives with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

St Ives is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
