Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyoshiro Mibu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gio Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters had to take extra time to make weight as they missed the initial 185lb limit. Kyoshiro Mibu came in at 186.3 and Gio Warren came in at 186.6 but after the extra two hours, both guys managed to get within the one pound allowance. No doubt it will have affected them physically though, so let's see if that has an impact on the fight. Kyoshiro Mibu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mibu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Warren moves in looking to clinch but Mibu pushes him off.
Warren tries a head kick but it misses.
Mibu really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mibu throws a series of punches but Warren avoids them all with ease.
Mibu takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mibu throws a strike but Warren avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Mibu is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mibu stays in close to Warren's body and controls the position.
Warren is trying to control the position but Mibu postures up.
Mibu controls from within his opponent's guard.

Kyoshiro Mibu has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Warren dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mibu. That did some damage!
Mibu takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Mibu blocks a head kick by Warren.
Mibu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Warren leaves Mibu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyoshiro Mibu. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Warren bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mibu's head backwards.

Mibu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Warren really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mibu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We're going to have a standup here because Kyoshiro Mibu wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Mibu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
