The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lokren enables Murkulanvippaaja to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lokren manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Murkulanvippaaja wants to control from the top but Lokren keeps moving.
Murkulanvippaaja postures up and lands a big shot to Lokren's brow.

Lokren is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Murkulanvippaaja throws and elbow that misses. Lokren uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Murkulanvippaaja's guard. Nice move by Lokren!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Murkulanvippaaja lands a left and a right that send Lokren crashing to the mat, dazed. Murkulanvippaaja thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
