The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acus misses with a takedown attempt - Boomer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Boomer rushes Acus and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Spart Acus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Boomer is pressed up against the cage. Acus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boomer down to the mat. Boomer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bam Boomer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spart Acus.

Acus is trying desperately to land a takedown but Boomer is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Acus.

Boomer scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Acus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boomer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Acus somewhat.

Boomer scores with a one two! Acus had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boomer creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Acus's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Acus drops to his knees and Boomer pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
