The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in and drives through. Evans sprawls well.

Johnson clinches.
Johnson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Evans can't get the takedown.

Evans tries to score a body lock takedown but Johnson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Evans swings wildly with an uppercut but Johnson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Johnson looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Johnson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Evans blocks it with crossed arms.
Johnson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Marcus Evans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jared Johnson.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Johnson.

Evans lands a takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Evans 's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Johnson is bucking up trying to escape but Evans cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
