Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Statham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pugan Puganchich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puganchich slips a jab from Statham.
Horrible takedown by Puganchich or perhaps it was just good defense by Statham which made him look bad.

Pugan Puganchich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A head kick lands from Statham that sends Puganchich to the canvas. Puganchich tries to scramble back to his feet but Statham brings him back down into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Puganchich is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Statham's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Statham's back!
Statham rolls, trying to escape but Puganchich keeps control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

What's going on here? Puganchich has decided to give up on the ground game despite having his opponent's back!
Statham throws a shot to the body.
Puganchich closes the distance and clinches up with Statham, looking for a takedown. Puganchich pushes Statham against the cage but Statham circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Statham throws a leg kick which misses Puganchich's front leg but catches the back leg as Puganchich tries to avoid it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Puganchich shoots in but Statham avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Statham fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Puganchich.
Statham lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Statham lands with a kick to the temple. Puganchich shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Puganchich is trying desperately to land a takedown but Statham is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Puganchich.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Puganchich takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Jason Statham is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Statham rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Puganchich moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Statham, as that shot connected.

The fighters circle momentarily. Statham darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Puganchich has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Statham.
Puganchich takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Puganchich's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Statham connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Puganchich scrambles back to his feet.
Statham slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Statham.
Puganchich gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Statham counters with a good low kick that Puganchich was not able to check.
Puganchich takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Puganchich takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Statham's corner calls for a 1-2. Statham obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Statham clobbers Puganchich with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Puganchich shoots in for a double leg but Statham sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Puganchich's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Puganchich shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Statham pinned against the cage. Statham gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
