The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maker blocks a head kick by Silvva.
Silvva looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Silvva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Silvva clinches up against the cage.

Silvva manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maker wants to control from the top but Silvva keeps moving.

Maker drops back looking for a leg! Silvva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silvva manages to kick Maker off! Maker jumps back into Silvva's guard.

Maker is working for a kimura but Silvva is defending it quite comfortably.

Maker seems to be looking for submissions.

It looks like Maker is going to stand back up.

Silvva is in trouble now - Maker has advanced to mount!
Maker trying to control but Silvva is having none of it.
Silvva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maker on the ground.
Silvva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Maker looking to ground and pound but Silvva is blocking nicely.
Maker prevents Silvva from getting the reversal.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Maker looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Silvva can't escape the position.
Maker punching from mount but Silvva doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Silvva tries to hold on but Maker pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maker thowing shots but they're missing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Silvva is in all sorts of trouble here.
Maker avoids the attempt from Silvva to control.
Maker throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Silvva is looking to improve his position but Maker isn't that keen on the idea.

Maker looking to ground and pound but Silvva is blocking nicely.

Maker has hold of Silvva's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silvva manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Maker throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Silvva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Silvva is working to get back to half guard.

Maker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Silvva is surviving well by controlling Maker's body position as best he can.

Maker tries to control but Silvva wriggling away.
Maker with the ground and pound from mount.
Silvva is squirming around, avoiding Maker's attempts to control the action.
Maker misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Maker sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Silvva defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Maker.

Maker working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Silvva looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Maker! Submission of the night perhaps?
