The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Cobra counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cobra throws a jab but it's blocked by Goro.
Cobra scores with a jab to the body.
Cobra darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Cobra pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cobra defending well as Goro loads up on a big left hand.
Cobra stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Goro.

Goro closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Goro lands in his opponent's guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Goro wants to control from the top but Cobra keeps moving.

Goro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Yumi Goro dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cobra misses with a head kick.

Goro looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cobra is fending him off so far but Goro persists. Nope, Cobra circles away and we're back to standing.

Goro lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Goro postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Cobra in real trouble here! The ref calls for Cobra to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
