Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marduk Thorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinji Yamaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thorn's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rob Dougan - Clubbed to Death. Yamaru has chosen Rising as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Marduk Thorn has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Yamaru!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thorn moves into the clinch.
Yamaru is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Thorn manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Thorn trying to land knees to the body.
Thorn throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Yamaru blocks it with crossed arms.

Yamaru tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Thorn smiles and moves away.

and Yamaru counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thorn has his hands on Yamaru's head, controlling the position.

Yamaru wants to pass the guard but Thorn is keeping the position.
Thorn is trying to control the position but Yamaru postures up.
Thorn looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Yamaru trying to control the position from guard on top but Thorn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Yamaru takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Thorn misses with a head kick.

Thorn lands with a kick to the temple. Yamaru shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Horrible takedown by Yamaru or perhaps it was just good defense by Thorn which made him look bad.
Marduk Thorn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thorn tries a head kick but it misses.
Yamaru has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Thorn.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Yamaru bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Yamaru is trying to get an arm triangle but Thorn is defending well.
Yamaru looks gassed!

Yamaru goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Thorn has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Yamaru but great work by Thorn.

Yamaru wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Thorn has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Yamaru's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Yamaru is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Thorn!
