Rose comes to the cage accompanied by Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks. Rodriguez has chosen Amazing By Kanye West as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Rose shoots for a takedown but Rodriguez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Rodriguez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rose.
Rodriguez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rose.

Rose shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rodriguez as he avoids it easily.

Derric Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
