Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barbara Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thorfinn Oden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oden has chosen Element Eighty-Pancake Land as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boxer scores with a sloppy right hand. Oden should have avoided that one.

Boxer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Oden does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Boxer lands with a short shot to the head.

Oden tries to land knees in the clinch but Boxer avoids the damage to the body.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Boxer creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boxer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Oden throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

and Boxer finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Oden sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
