Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Franko Begbie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Begbie comes to the ring accompanied by Lonely Island - Jizz in My Pants. Ben Askren has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Franko Begbie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Askren!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Begbie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Askren closes this distance looking for a takedown but Begbie circles away.
Begbie is trying hard to land a takedown here. Askren sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Askren manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Begbie on his heels. He'll look to pass Begbie's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Askren working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Askren throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Begbie works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Begbie wants to sweep but no luck.
Askren stands up over Begbie, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Begbie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Askren can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Askren throws a strike but Begbie rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Begbie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Askren dives on top into guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Begbie throws a series of punches but Askren moves out of range.
Begbie looks to land a combination but Askren avoids it well.
Begbie blocks a head kick by Askren.
Begbie tries to bum rush Askren with a series of wild strikes but Askren uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Begbie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Askren avoids it really well and circles away.
Begbie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Askren tries to avoid it but Begbie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Askren to the ground. Askren escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Askren feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Begbie looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Askren has picked Begbie up and slammed him! Begbie can't keep hold of the triangle and Askren manages to pass to side control!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
