Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Buckner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hitoshi Masaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Buckner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Hitoshi Masaru!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Buckner.
Matt Buckner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Masaru throws a head kick that misses.
Masaru has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Buckner finds it's way round the side to connect with Masaru's head.

Masaru pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Buckner dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Masaru. That did some damage!
A punch lands to the side of Masaru 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Buckner connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Masaru throws the left hand but Buckner avoids the punch easily.
Masaru throws a leg kick but Buckner sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Buckner. Those never looked like landing.
Buckner lands a nice leg kick that just misses Masaru's sensitive parts.

Buckner moves into range and connects with a jab.
Masaru on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Masaru tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Buckner looks to score with a jab to the body but Masaru is just out of range.
A head kick by Masaru misses
and Buckner counters with a head kick. That will keep Masaru thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Buckner fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Masaru on the side of the head.
Buckner slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Buckner uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Buckner cracks Masaru with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Masaru throws a head kick that misses
and Buckner counters with a good low kick that Masaru was not able to check.
Masaru looks to score with a jab to the body but Buckner is just out of range.
Masaru takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Buckner connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Buckner looks to land a combination. Masaru sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

and Buckner counters with a good low kick that Masaru was not able to check.

Masaru takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Buckner connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Masaru's hands.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Buckner is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Masaru can do to turn this around?

Masaru takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Buckner lands a glancing blow to the side of Masaru's head.
Buckner throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Masaru stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Buckner lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Masaru throws a solid leg kick but Buckner takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Masaru.

Buckner delivers a nice body kick.
Buckner lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Buckner throws a sloppy head kick and Masaru moves out of range easily.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Masaru in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Buckner.
Masaru has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Masaru ducks right into an uppercut from Buckner.
Buckner takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Masaru throws a sloppy head kick
and Buckner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That kick from Buckner tenderised Masaru's leg. Masaru is trying to keep his angry face on.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Masaru might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Buckner has got the better of the exchanges.

Buckner lands a left and a right that send Masaru crashing to the mat, dazed. Buckner thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Masaru is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Buckner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Masaru is still on wobbly legs! Can Buckner finish him?

Buckner feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Masaru's calf.
Masaru seems to have recovered his senses.
A jab from Buckner finds it's way through Masaru's defenses.
Masaru's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Masaru takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Buckner scores with a body shot.
Buckner fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Masaru looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Buckner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Masaru moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Buckner, as that shot connected.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Buckner connects with a good right hand that stumbles Masaru. Masaru circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Buckner connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Buckner lands a nice looking body shot.
Masaru takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Masaru takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Buckner lands a brutal head kick. Masaru looks out on his feet and Buckner throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
