The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wood blocks a jab.
Brown swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brown shoots in but no luck this time.
Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Wood.
Wood tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brown paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tyson Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wood throws a head kick but Brown moves out of range.

Horrible takedown by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Wood which made him look bad.

Brown throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wood tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Brown is in Wood's guard.

Brown is taking a breather. Wood says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Brown moves into full mount! Wood won't be happy about that!

Wood is trying to escape the mount but Brown keeps good control and instead manages to take Wood's back.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wood knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brown on the ground.

After the fight, Tyson Brown was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
