Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mr Mystery!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mystery closes the distance and clinches up with Thomas, looking for a takedown. Mystery pushes Thomas against the cage but Thomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thomas wants to clinch.
Mystery fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Thomas avoids it really well and circles away.
Mystery tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mystery shoots in looking for a takedown but Thomas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mystery's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
John Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mr Mystery.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Mystery is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Thomas is aware though and is defending well.

Thomas thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mystery is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Thomas tries to free his leg and advance position but Mystery is retaining full guard.
Thomas keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mystery's head.
Mystery avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Mystery looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Thomas passes into half guard.
Thomas is looking to take a break and control but Mystery is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Thomas is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Thomas is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thomas works his way into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mystery tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Thomas can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mystery is looking to escape.
Thomas is landing with some decent strikes but Mystery is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Mystery is in all sorts of trouble here.
Thomas takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Mystery tries to reverse the position but Thomas maintains control.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thomas connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Mystery really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Thomas wants to control the pace but Mystery is squirming around nicely.
Thomas lands a big shot there that rocks Mystery but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
