Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bob Malkovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jenson Crowder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenson Crowder is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Malkovich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jenson Crowder!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowder tries for a takedown but Malkovich circles away easily

and Malkovich counters with a single leg into guard. Crowder didn't expect that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Crowder preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Crowder manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Malkovich manages to get himself to full guard.
Malkovich knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Crowder on the ground.
Malkovich is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Malkovich looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Malkovich is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crowder trying to control the position from guard on top but Malkovich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Crowder stands and throws Malkovich's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Malkovich is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Crowder is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Malkovich tries to roll over but Crowder keeps him under control.

Crowder seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Bob Malkovich will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Crowder tries to improve position but can't.

Malkovich is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Crowder is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Malkovich goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Crowder has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Malkovich but great work by Crowder.

Crowder is looking to take a break and control but Malkovich is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bob Malkovich overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Malkovich explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Crowder shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Malkovich sprawls well. Malkovich wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Crowder gets slowly back to his feet.

Crowder wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Malkovich, who protects the arm well.

Crowder misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Malkovich scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Crowder doesn't seem bothered though.

Malkovich changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Crowder looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Crowder takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Malkovich is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Crowder defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Malkovich is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Crowder is defending well though. Malkovich let's go of the attempt for now.

Malkovich has got his arm under Crowder's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Crowder has spun round into Malkovich's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

Malkovich shoots in looking for a takedown. Crowder tries to sprawl out of it but Malkovich keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crowder manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
