Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Turo Sapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Turo Sapp!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sapp throws a head kick that misses.

Hunt gets a clinch.
Sapp goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hunt prevents it.

Sapp pulls guard effortlessly.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hunt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hunt keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sapp's head.
Hunt postures up in Sapp's guard and throws a big left but Sapp blocks it.
Hunt throws a strike but Sapp rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Hunt wants to sweep but no luck.
Hunt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sapp is fighting to break Hunt's control of his arms but Hunt is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Hunt uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Sapp swats away the attempt to clinch by Hunt.
Sapp looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sapp keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sapp tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hunt doesn't manage to clinch there - Sapp circles away.
Hunt throws a right hand that Sapp ducks under and follows up with a left that Sapp also avoids with ease.
Hunt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sapp manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sapp shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hunt but Hunt pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Daniel Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hunt blocks a low kick nicely.
Hunt fails in his attempt to clinch.

Hunt has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hunt goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sapp prevents it.
Sapp tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hunt smiles and moves away.
Daniel Hunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Turo Sapp.

Hunt has managed to clinch.

Sapp has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hunt is trying to keep an underhook but Sapp manages to get the takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hunt tries to kick Sapp off but Sapp keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sapp thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Hunt pushes Sapp off looking to stand but Sapp dives back in and keeps control.

Hunt kicks off Sapp and gets to his feet.
Hunt is looking to clinch.

Sapp shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hunt's guard.

Hunt has his feet on Sapp's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Sapp gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hunt wants to pass the guard but Sapp is keeping the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hunt gets to his feet - Sapp follows without any prompting.

Hunt shoots in and bounces Sapp off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sapp looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Hunt counters with a takedown into side control.
Sapp tries to buck Hunt off but Hunt is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sapp can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hunt sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Sapp is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Sapp tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hunt lands an elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hunt cracks Sapp with a big right hand but Sapp just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Hunt wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sapp, who protects the arm well.
Sapp takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Hunt wants to control but Sapp is keeping him busy.
Hunt remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sapp is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hunt connects with a decent elbow.

Sapp is not content to let Hunt control the position.

Hunt fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sapp avoids it really well and circles away.

Hunt goes for a takedown attempt but Sapp pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Hunt is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sapp is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sapp has escaped and now he's on top!

Hunt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sapp can do to turn this around?
Sapp missing with a left hand there. Hunt was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

A decent looking cross lands there for Hunt.
Hunt shoots in but no luck this time.

Sapp can't find room to land a body shot as Hunt controls the action.
Sapp wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Hunt's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Sapp gets underhooks to prevent Hunt's takedown attempt.

Hunt turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hunt manages to end up in side control.
Turo Sapp has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
