Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Barrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Brook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brook misses with a left hand

and Barrett counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Barrett landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barrett wants to pass the guard but Brook is defending well.
Barrett not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Barrett is working for a submission of some sort.

Barrett seems to be working for a kimura but Brook defends the submission attempt.

Brook tries to roll over but Barrett keeps him under control.

Barrett decides to stand and escape the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Barrett gets the takedown into side control.

Barrett is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brook knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brook gets back to half guard.
Barrett tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Brook.
Brook wants to improve his position but Barrett is controlling well.
Brook makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brook.

Barrett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brook swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brook is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Prince Brook.
Brook throws a hook to the side of Barrett's head but Barrett sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Brook swats away the attempt to clinch by Barrett.

Barrett gets a double leg takedown into Brook's guard.

Brook is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Barrett is aware though and is defending well.
Barrett's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Barrett with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Barrett stands and steps away. Brook gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Brook gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barrett has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brook can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Barrett is breathing heavily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Brook drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Brook seems to have locked his on tight now - Barrett screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Brook, as he picks up the win!
