And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freire fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Peltier lands a leg kick that knocks Freire off balance momentarily.
Freire checks a low kick from Peltier.
Freire moves out of range as Peltier throws a body kick.
Peltier throws out a leg kick but Freire moves out of range and Peltier only half commits.
Freire is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Peltier.

Freire lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Peltier on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Peltier attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Patricio Freire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Freire uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Freire looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Freire tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Peltier was well out of range. Poor timing from Freire.
Peltier needs to keep his hands up - Freire had a free shot at his head there.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Freire checks a leg kick.
Freire scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Freire's corner calls for a 1-2. Freire obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Freire swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Freire avoids the head kick by Peltier.

Freire swings for the body but Peltier moves out of range.
Freire's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Freire duly obliges.
Freire throws a jab when Peltier was well out of range.
Freire looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Freire throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Freire misses with the combination.
Peltier shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Freire is trying to defend but Peltier finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Peltier passes the guard and advances to mount!
Peltier trying to control but Freire is having none of it.
Peltier wants to finish this one by submission but Freire is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Peltier.

Peltier is landing with some decent strikes but Freire is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Peltier looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Freire is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Peltier swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Freire is now in Peltier's guard. A big mistake from Peltier there, giving up the dominant position!
Peltier is looking for a triangle but Freire pushes his legs off easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Peltier is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Patricio Freire will probably get the nod.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Freire is looking to stand up but Peltier isn't so interested in that idea.
Peltier drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Peltier seems to have locked his on tight now - Freire screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Peltier, as he picks up the win!
