Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bam Blimm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dorian Gay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blimm lands a nice looking body shot.
Blimm tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Gay counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Bam Blimm has been cut.

Gay gets the takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Blimm is looking to regain half guard here but Gay keeps moving and retains side control.

Gay is staying tight to Blimm's torso, preventing him from escaping.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gay has control of Blimm's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Blimm regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Gay tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bam Blimm's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Gay takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Gay has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
It looks like Gay might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Gay tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blimm was well out of range. Poor timing from Gay.

Blimm connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gay. Gay circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Gay stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gay wants it to stay on the feet.

Jeez, Bam Blimm's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gay throws a strike but Blimm avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Gay is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
