Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vince Brasil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armando Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salazar has chosen Runnin' With The Devil as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vince Brasil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Armando Salazar!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salazar closes the distance and clinches up with Brasil, looking for a takedown. Salazar pushes Brasil against the cage but Brasil circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Salazar shoots and misses
and Brasil counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Brasil keeps the fight on the outside.
Salazar fails with the takedown
and Brasil connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vince Brasil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Armando Salazar.
Brasil keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Salazar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brasil's waist but Brasil gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salazar off to one side.

Brasil tries to close the distance and clinch but Salazar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Brasil shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Salazar is trying to defend but Brasil finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Salazar can do anything to dispel that myth.
Brasil has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The referee warns Salazar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Brasil seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Salazar for as long as he can get away with.
Brasil wants to control the pace but Salazar is squirming around nicely.
Salazar's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Brasil feints and as Salazar raises his hands in defense, Brasil changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brasil connects with a nice short shot to Salazar's temple.
Brasil is keen to just control but Salazar is a slippery customer.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Salazar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Salazar wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Brasil manages to pass to side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Salazar throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Brasil manages to pass to side control.
Brasil is looking to take a break and control but Salazar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brasil, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
