Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filipovic comes to the cage accompanied by Duran Duran - Wild boys. Mirko Filipovic had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic blocks a head kick by Vera.
Vera throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Filipovic.

Vera shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Vera was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Vera is working for a guillotine from mount but Filipovic frees his head quite easily.
Vera looking to finish with strikes here!
Filipovic is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Filipovic is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Vera with the ground and pound from mount.
Vera misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Filipovic is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Filipovic takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Vera won't let Filipovic get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Filipovic holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Vera tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Vera looking to secure an arm triangle but Filipovic defends it well.
Vera throwing strikes here but Filipovic is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Filipovic has left one of his arms exposed and Vera doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Filipovic screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
