The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryui has a takedown stuffed.
A right-left combo lands from Teixeira.

It looks like Paul Ryui has been cut.
Ryui checks a low kick from Teixeira.
Teixeira walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Teixeira uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ryui.

Teixeira is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ryui's half guard.
Teixeira wants to get back to his feet.

Ryui throws a strike from the bottom but Teixeira passes into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryui is looking to regain half guard here but Teixeira keeps moving and retains side control.

Ryui on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ryui tries to get out of the position.
Ryui is breathing heavily.

Ryui throws a strike from the bottom but Teixeira uses the opportunity to take his back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Teixeira controlling well, preventing Ryui from escaping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ryui takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Teixeira is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Teixeira shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ryui but Ryui pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Teixeira fails with an attempt to clinch.
Teixeira lands a two punch combo.

Ryui is rocked!

Teixeira clinches with his opponent.
Oh Ryui is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Teixeira wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Ryui seems to have got his legs back now.

Teixeira breaks the clinch.
Teixeira is looking to clinch but Ryui is avoiding it.
Teixeira scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ryui doesn't seem bothered though.
Teixeira connects with a combination that backs up Ryui into the cage. Teixeira lands a flurry of punches that gets past Ryui's guard. Ryui is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Teixeira bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
