The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tibbs avoids the head kick by Cheddars.
Cheddars tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tibbs paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tibbs dodges the punch combination from Cheddars.

Cheddars fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tibbs, pushing him back against the cage.
Cheddars prevents the takedown attempt.
Cheddars really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tibbs fails to pull guard.

Cheddars breaks the clinch.

Cheddars shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tibbs's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Tibbs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cheddars sprawls well. Cheddars wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tibbs gets slowly back to his feet.

Tibbs dives in and grabs Cheddars's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cheddars pushes down on Tibbs's head and hops out.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
