Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Duscaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darin Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duscaw's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, "I am the Walrus" by The Beatles. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Duscaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darin Blood!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blood defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Duscaw.
Duscaw scores with a kick to the midsection.
Duscaw throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Duscaw feints and as Blood raises his hands in defense, Duscaw changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Blood is trying to keep Duscaw in close.
Duscaw pushing down on Blood's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Blood trying to hold on to Duscaw's head to control him but Duscaw postures up.

Duscaw has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Duscaw sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Duscaw postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Blood looks a forlorn figure.
Blood is bucking up trying to escape but Duscaw cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Duscaw lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Duscaw pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Blood is looking to improve his position but Duscaw isn't that keen on the idea.
The referee warns Blood that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Duscaw has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blood tries to hold on but Duscaw pushes him away.

Duscaw lands a big shot there that rocks Blood but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Duscaw is looking to advance position but Blood won't allow it.
Duscaw uses his free foot to push down on Blood's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Blood.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Duscaw cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Duscaw is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Blood doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Duscaw.

and Blood counters with a three punch combo that has Duscaw backing up. Duscaw nods at Blood to acknowledge the strikes.

Blood throws a leg kick which misses Duscaw's front leg but catches the back leg as Duscaw tries to avoid it.
Duscaw throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Blood shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Blood was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Blood tries to control but Duscaw wriggling away.
Duscaw regains half guard.
Duscaw works his way to full guard. Good work.

Blood drops back looking for a leg! Duscaw is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Duscaw manages to kick Blood off! Blood jumps back into Duscaw's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Duscaw looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Blood puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Blood is working for a kimura but Duscaw is defending it quite comfortably.

Blood makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Blood.

Blood manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Duscaw manages to get himself to full guard.

Duscaw is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blood is pushing down on Duscaw's leg trying to pass to half guard. Duscaw is fighting to maintain full guard but Blood has managed to sneak the leg through.

Darin Blood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Duscaw avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Duscaw throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

and Blood counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Duscaw is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Blood lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Duscaw fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Blood throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Duscaw.

Duscaw shoots in looking for a takedown. Blood tries to sprawl out of it but Duscaw keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
