Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Wolf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arthur Douglas!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas throws a sloppy head kick and Wolf moves out of range easily.
Douglas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wolf defends it nicely.
Douglas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Douglas goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wolf has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Douglas but great work by Wolf.
Wolf is working to tighten is grip on Douglas's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Douglas has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Wolf is really squeezing tight and eventually Douglas passes out! Wolf breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jack Wolf!
