Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Flavius Aetius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandy Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawkins is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Enter Sandman. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Flavius Aetius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sandy Hawkins!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hawkins closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hawkins lands in his opponent's guard.

Aetius is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hawkins might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Aetius kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Sandy Hawkins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Hawkins is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Aetius defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Hawkins has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Aetius has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Well Hawkins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
