Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drysdale checks a low kick from Nicks.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Drysdale. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Drysdale is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nicks's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Drysdale tries for a takedown but Nicks sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Good leg kick by Nicks there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Drysdale uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nicks.

Drysdale postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nicks is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Drysdale, into his guard.

Drysdale looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nicks has picked Drysdale up and slammed him! Drysdale can't keep hold of the triangle and Nicks manages to pass to side control!

Nicks wants to stand but Drysdale is controlling his arm.
