Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacko Anselmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anselmo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Amon Amarth-DEATH IN FIRE kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reid shoots in and drives through. Anselmo sprawls well.
Reid avoids a punch combination nicely.
Anselmo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reid circles away quickly and effectively.
Reid fails with an attempt to clinch.
Reid has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Anselmo finds it's way round the side to connect with Reid's head.

Reid moves in looking to clinch but Anselmo pushes him off.

Anselmo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Reid will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Reid is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Anselmo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Anselmo stalks Reid and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Reid's face. Reid staggers backwards, shaken.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
