The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Willis checks a leg kick nicely.
Willis takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Rick Willis has been cut.
Willis throws a body punch but Doruletz moves out of range.
Slobozel Doruletz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Willis moves into the clinch.
Willis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Doruletz just stands there and leans against the cage.
Doruletz makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Willis pulls guard successfully.
Willis controls Doruletz momentarily but Doruletz frees himself.

Willis pushes Doruletz off and gets back to his feet.
Doruletz fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Willis shoots for a double leg takedown but Doruletz sprawls well. He's pushed Willis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Willis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Willis needs to keep his hands up - Doruletz had a free shot at his head there.
Doruletz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Slobozel Doruletz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
