Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Haws (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haws's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Garden's All Nighters. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Haws!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nathan Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards wants to clinch.
Haws lands a jab to Edwards's midsection.
Haws misses with a body kick.
Haws looks to land a combination but Edwards avoids it well.
Haws throws a right and a left that Edwards avoids nicely.
No joy there for Edwards, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Haws goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Some wild striking there from Haws.
Edwards closes this distance looking for a takedown but Haws circles away.
Haws swats away the attempt to clinch by Edwards.
Haws throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Edwards stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Haws shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Edwards but Edwards pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Edwards is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Haws's half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Haws tries to kick Edwards off but Edwards keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Edwards really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haws. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Haws wants to get back to his feet but Edwards is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
