Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Philips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Cozad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Eric Philips has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Eric Philips seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Philips misses
and Philips takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cozad scores with a nice body kick.
Cozad throws a combination. Philips tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Cozad throws a low kick but it's checked well by Philips.

Philips closes the distance and pushes Cozad back into the cage.

Cozad breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Cozad goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Oh Philips is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Cozad throws a series of punches but Philips moves out of range.
Philips tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Cozad counters with an outside leg kick.
Philips is breathing heavily.
Philips uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cozad.
Cozad throws a sloppy head kick and Philips moves out of range easily.
Philips blocks a jab.
Philips glances at the clock... BAM! Cozad nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Philips crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Philips is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
