Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dew Rain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Davola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davola is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Chicken Fried. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rain misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rain tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davola sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rain somewhat.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Davola enables Rain to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Davola manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rain accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Davola lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rain circles away quickly and effectively.
Rain tries for a takedown but Davola sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rain dives in and grabs Davola's left leg, looking for a takedown. Davola pushes down on Rain's head and hops out.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Davola looks to land a combination. Rain sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
