The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shuai avoids a punch combination nicely.
Long looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Shuai throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Long tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Shuai is in Long's guard.
Long is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Shuai drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shuai jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Shuai controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Long is working an open guard so Shuai takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Shuai connects with a crisp jab.
Whack! Shuai lands a heavy head kick that drops Long. The ref tackles Shuai to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Long was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Omi Shuai!
