The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kampaaja is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ferrari blocks a jab.
Kampaaja throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kampaaja tests Ferrari's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Kampaaja rushes Ferrari and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ferrari has Kampaaja pressed against the cage, preventing Kampaaja from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Kampaaja has clasped his hands together around Ferrari's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Kampaaja decides to stand back up. Kampaaja steps back and let's Ferrari get back to his feet.
Ferrari fails with the takedown.
Kampaaja throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Ferrari walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kampaaja checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Lampaan Kampaaja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ferrari gets a takedown into half guard.

Kampaaja wants to improve his position but Ferrari is controlling well.
Kampaaja is trying to maintain the position but Ferrari is very close to passing his half guard.
Ferrari is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
