The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davis closes the distance and clinches.
Gracie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Davis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Davis defending well as Gracie loads up on a big left hand.
Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Davis counters with a stiff right hand.
Davis wants to land a leg kick but Gracie is out of range.
Davis looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Davis misses with a looping left.
Gracie throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Davis to counter with a crisp jab.
Joe Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ren Gracie.
Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Davis counters with an inside leg kick.
Gracie throws a combination that misses
and Davis makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Gracie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Davis moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Davis scores with a decent looking hook.

Gracie is rocked!
Joe Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis throws a monster overhand right that drops Gracie! Davis follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
