Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Ipkiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Ipkiss, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Gordon Freeman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Freeman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ipkiss's waist but Ipkiss gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Freeman off to one side.
