Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mickey O Neil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newman has chosen Taki maly taki duzy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Newman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but O Neil is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Newman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by O Neil, who protects the arm well.
Newman is looking to take a break and control but O Neil is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A lull in the action here as Newman stalls from top position.

That was a close round but I would say that Mickey O Neil will probably get the nod.

Newman has hold of O Neil's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and O Neil manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Newman is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. O Neil looks calm but he's in trouble here. Newman gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. O Neil is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Newman lets go of the hold and O Neil can pop his arm back in it's socket.
