Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Plant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shannon Bannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Plant might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Au innebunit salcamii. Shannon Bannon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plant misses with a takedown attempt - Bannon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bannon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Plant circles away quickly and effectively.

Plant has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bannon is trying to keep an underhook but Plant manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Plant is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bannon can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Plant lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Bannon stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Marcus Plant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bannon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Plant tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bannon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
