Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Borat Sagdiyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sagdiyev might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mamaliga. Gabriel Silva is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gabriel Silva!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Silva misses.
Sagdiyev throws a body punch but Silva moves out of range.
Sagdiyev ducks under a wild hook from Silva.
Nice defenses there by Sagdiyev.
Sagdiyev keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Silva.
Sagdiyev lands with an uppercut that bounces Silva off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Gabriel Silva has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva throws a right hand that misses
and Sagdiyev counters with a big uppercut that knocks Silva off his feet! Sagdiyev dives into side control looking to finish!
Silva is rocked!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Silva gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Sagdiyev prevents Silva from improving his position.
Silva wants to control but Sagdiyev is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Silva is pressing down on Sagdiyev's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Sagdiyev just misses with a punch to the body.
Sagdiyev lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Sagdiyev bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Silva's head backwards.
Silva misses with a looping left.
Silva misses with an uppercut. Sagdiyev saw that one coming.
A slow jab from Silva misses its intended target.

Silva throws a jab when Sagdiyev was well out of range.
Sagdiyev bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Silva! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Silva is still in real trouble! Can Sagdiyev finish him?
Silva controls Sagdiyev momentarily but Sagdiyev frees himself.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Sagdiyev seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Silva throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Sagdiyev has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Silva has a closed guard, preventing Sagdiyev from standing up.

Sagdiyev would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sagdiyev lands a right hook to the body.

Sagdiyev drops his shoulder and cracks Silva with a huge uppercut! Silva goes down! Can Sagdiyev finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Borat Sagdiyev.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Sagdiyev and Silva goes tumbling to the canvas! Sagdiyev follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Sagdiyev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.

Silva is trying to maintain the position but Sagdiyev is very close to passing his half guard.
Sagdiyev perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Silva tries to roll over but Sagdiyev keeps him under control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Still in half guard, Sagdiyev seems content to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Borat Sagdiyev.
Sagdiyev lands a jab to the head.
Sagdiyev throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.

Silva is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sagdiyev.

Sagdiyev drops Silva with a big left hand and mounts him. Silva is in big trouble!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sagdiyev prevents Silva from getting the reversal.
Sagdiyev tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Silva tries to hold on but Sagdiyev postures up.
Silva tries to reverse the position but Sagdiyev maintains control.

Sagdiyev has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Borat Sagdiyev just wasn't active enough.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
BAM! Sagdiyev delivers a spinning backfist that drops Silva like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
